The Verdict!

Is Semi Out!!!

Finally, I have testshot the new camera and I would say it fares pretty impressive.

Test 1 :

Conditions : Flash On. Stable Hands. Mode Begineer.

Test 2 :

Conditions : Flash On. Hands moving left and right. Mode P

Test 3 :

Conditions : Flash On. Hands moving left and right. Mode P

Test 4 :

Conditions : Flash On. Stable Hands. Begineer Mode

Test 5 :

Conditions : Flash Off. Living Creature.

Test 6:

Conditions : Flash On. 12X Zoom. ISO 400 (MAX)

Test 7 :

Conditions : Flash On. 12X Zoom. ISO 400 (MAX) Item : Lamp

Overall,

With the flash on and with proper lightings, the pictures taken are of decent quality. I can't really see that it is just 3.1Megapixel.

I was pretty impressed with the way the camera handle with my wavering hands. I was wavering at an amplitude of .20m and a frequency of 0.083 Hz. And volia, the pictures still come up great!

However, problems starts to occur when the flash is off or with poor lightnings. This could be due to the sensitively issue.

This is just part of the verdict. Only after a period of use will I finally know how good the camera is.

New Camera

I've gotten a new camera.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ3

This is a relatively old model that come out in the 2004. For a more detailed review, please refer here : Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ3

Well, So what do I have to say about the cameras. In short Just This :

The Plus:
12 x Mega Zoom
MEGA Image Stabilizer
Lens Holder (Option of wide angle short if i purchase the lens)

The Minus:
2004 Model
3.1 Megapixel

I got it at a price of 374.50 with GST. Considering the price, this is a good start for a begineer like me. The camera is a display item that the shop was clearing stock. From the review, it was retailing at US399 in 2004. Taking the exchange rate as around 1.6 (then) It is about 638.40 SGD.

So The depreciation rate?
$65.975 SGD per year.

Following a constant depreciation rate, I would need to use the camera for another 5.67 years to make it worth while/ cut even costs. In my case, I would most probably use it for another 2-3 years before switching to another camera. Making a book loss of abt $176.575

Yay.... Boring Financial Talk.

But In Short.

Yap, I gotten a camera and I mostly need it for the up and coming Chinese New Year and to just spend some time taking pictures and posting them up on this boring-too-many-words blog.

So what am I hoping for now?

The picture quality that I took will be acceptable/great. (when I finally shoot my first pic)A Next Review will come up soon.

Some Minor Facts,
1) The Fujifilm J10 is retailing there at $199. It is retailing at department stores at $229. So it might be a good thing to grab it there.

2) A 4 gb SD Card and a camera stand costs me another $15 each. This might be a good place to grab them.

Where to get them:
